RESUME

I began performing in the 6th grade after my dad told me I should find something to do with my time that I truly enjoyed.  I had been in competitive cheering and my dad said there was too much needless drama in cheering and I should consider engaging in a more productive form of drama. He told me I had numerous relatives who had been in theatre and they enjoyed it. I decided I would go for it.  I think secretly my parents were happy that I had found something that did not require travel to competitions. In school I had always loved making video presentations to show in front of the class and presenting in front of people made me feel more confident.  Following my first audition and show the feeling was awesome. Theatre for me was a whole new kind of project that was pure fun.  I loved the feeling it brought me and I loved watching and hearing the audience react. From that point on I participated in every school play through my senior year in High School and became determined to establish a career in theatre, whether that is  in musical theater, straight/dramatic theater, or film.  Theatre and the Performance Arts can bring joy through entertainment and affect positive change through the presentation of important social topics.  This is my passion and when you are fortunate enough to have a career in your passion you have a rewarding life that does not feel like work.
